Ketsana Album Fundraiser Exhibit 03/09/2013

I had the honor of being invited for an album fundraiser exhibit for Ketsana, an album project, of Mr. Tek Templo. Surprisingly I didn’t know that it was my former teacher, who, 5 years ago gave me a good start with college, was actually having the exhibit! So imagine the shock and excitement I had after I met the artist! Haha the good old times!  The exhibit showcased Iphone-taken-photos from different parts of Manila city. Prof Tek took his photography to the beautiful details of the metro. Small street types, gate locks, jeep steels and other things we usually don’t pay attention to are given much emphasis on this exhibit. It’s really detailed and eye catchy! After the exhibit, I enjoyed a few minutes listening to REKLAMO band who actually had the most amazing tattoos in my opinion. Here’s my fave tat from one of their bandmates! Shout out to Ms Ten Ten Abella and Mr Tek Templo for organizing this amazing exhibit!

Ben Cab Museum With The Gurlz

Baguio is always the best place to relax if you’re looking for a cold and misty weather in this tropical island. Therefore we, Valerie, Irene, Ate Chu and Ate Aleyn and me, stayed for 3 days up in the mountains exploring. So! Best place I recommend for art lovers (like us) is definitely the Ben Cab museum, located gahd knows where, (just kidding), you can google it up and it’s around 40 to 30 minutes from the main city. There’s an entrance of 100 PHP and kids get in for free but theirs a certain height requirement (so I didn’t get in free). The museum is around 3 floors with a cafe, mini store and packed with different painting themes. I really loved the architecture of the whole place and the paintings are all amazing! So I highly recommend it!

Seoul Searching With Samsung

Hello Korea…again! I never get tired with this beautiful city and when Samsung gave me the opportunity to go back, I didn’t hesitate! So our trip involved a lot of factory tour and product presentations from Samsung. We stayed in the beautiful JW Marriot Hotel in Seoul and some of the highlights of our trip was a tour in Samsung D Light showroom, Samsung factory and some quick shopping.

Here’s my favorite part of the showroom! The interactive lounge where you can dance like a kpop star thanks to Samsung technology! I was too shy to try it out but some japanese gals wanted to shine out!

I’m a retail design addict and thanks to my work, I get to see the small details of a store. This picture above is my favorite way to highlight a product!

I’ve come across a cool store in Seoul named, GEEK SHOP. They serve coffee and some high end clothing brands that you only see in HYPEBEAST.COM. The interior is really nice but they won’t allow pictures. SAD. So anyways, here are some of the snippets of my short business trip in Seoul, Korea ♥

Tuesday Inspirations: Oh My MAG! Riri!

I’ve been collecting magazines lately as a good medium for inspiration and human anatomy. Preview, Computer ARTS, Status, Elle, Bazaar and Nylon are some of my collection but GQ magazine surprised me with Riri’s amazing cover shot for their December 2012 issue! I’ve never had a GQ magazine given that I’m not part of the target market but daym! The shot is so nice! Makes me want to draw the GQ cover! I saw some sneak peeks of the photo shoot and it’s really nice! Does anyone know the photographer?

LINE ART: Smexy Versace S/S 2012

Line art shots for my Versace S/S 2012 illustration. I had a rough time drawing the dress and as you can see they are already heavy edited in Adobe Photoshop just to get the look near the actual dress with golden studs.

TRAVEL: New York New York Pt. 2 Chelsea Market

Hello from the beautiful Chelsea Market in NYC! My family and I were brought here by our Tita Betty during our stay in New York last June 2012 and of course I fell in love with the place immediately! Unique cafe’s, healthy restaurants, vintage book shops and some graffiti items were being sold inside and the cafe food was great! However my favorite part of our stay was the interior of the market. History say that the Chelsea market was once a factory and currently renovated for artsy fartsy purposes! Art exhibits and event halls could take place in this beautiful place and as seen above, I took some photos of the artworks being exhibited. Sadly I wanted to go back the next day but it takes an hour or something (they say) if you want to visit again. Boo! I wanna go back! (>3<)
